Epiphanies and alike. The moments when you realise something so raw and real, it triggers an emotional train of thought, new to you. It is like waking up, in your waking life, from a dream segment you thought to be as true as anything else; due to perception. Respect and value it's importance, for it is who you were and what's real–– challenged by experience. Reality splits into what you saw, and what you see, what you felt, and what you feel, what you knew, and what you know. You hear yourself speak, and your own words, cause speculation, interest and satisfaction. Knowledge shows you a path, that always was, but was never tapped into; by you- the ow
HistoryI'm just shy of 17. I don't know what I'm doing tomorrow,Let alone, for the rest of my days. But that doesn't bother me.What does bother me,Is thinking about time. The most valuable resource.Because I know that what I experience now,Will never repeat itself,I will never live this again,And even though, The next generation will live it;Will they care? Will it be the same?Of the many fears I have in life,Dying, being not particularly high on that list,I fear most of all, being forgotten. No, not me being forgotten. My time being forgotten.I study History,Study it hard,Not out of some desire over,Bloody battles, many lost lives
What is man? Man is a learner. What is man? Man is a learner. Man learns, it is what creates him and forms him, man is an endless people of knowledge to which we all are pools created from droplets to which are our learnings. But man is two types of learner, that of the man in the shower and that of the man in the forest. The man of the shower is the man of society, the man who follows the rules of society in all its form. He learns from the media and daily life; he has no true experience of the world around him and is often ignorant to what he feels does not concern him. He is in a shower. Sheltered from harm by his glass door and thermostat, protected from what doesn't
Don't You Quit!Have you grown weary? Are you tired of feeling small? Do you feel as though you've given your all, yet you have gotten nowhere?Inspired, you create something you're proud of. Yet, try as you might, your creation goes unnoticed - as if nobody cares at all!The months fly, and still you wait for a comment - a word of encouragement! However, nothing comes of it - no, nothing at all! Now, as you wait for an answer that isn't forthcoming, you notice your motivation has taken a dive! Sure, you continue to work - oftentimes for many hours - and with very little to eat! However, the inspiration just seems to be in short supply, these days. "Why b

1001 AR Quotes - No.3 'The animals themselves are incapable of demanding their own liberation, or of protesting against their condition with votes, demonstrations, or bombs. Human beings have the power to continue to oppress other species forever, or until we make this planet unsuitable for living beings. Will our tyranny continue, proving that we really are the selfish tyrants that the most cynical of poets and philosophers have always said we are? Or will we rise to the challenge and prove our capacity for genuine altruism by ending our ruthless exploitation of the species in our power, not because we are forced to do so by rebels or terrorists, but because we
RainRaindrops from the heavens above under Sir Isaac's spell, cleanse our world from the dirt covering our faces. Clear away the mud hiding our heart deep within and bring out the good all of us one day wish to achieve. Bring sadness and remorse to our souls so we can finally open our eyes and see the teardrops of a thousand suffering man all around the globe bursting through the clouds. Let us see the exchange between the earth and the sky, blurring the boundaries of infinity.
Up and Down Do you ever wonder why ‘up’ is up and ‘down’ is down? Who ever decided which way it up and which way is down? If up is always in the direction your head is in then, when you stand on your head, had down become up? If that is the case then one must also wonder about what we consider left and right. Left is always to the left of up, right? So now, say you are on your head, then right is to the left of up and left is now to the right of up. It is like directions no longer have any meaning. Let’s go back to considering the conundrum of ‘up’ and ‘down’. Say you were to point up, then to someone in Australia you would be pointing down. Latched onto that thought is this, if the earth were perfectly clear and you looked down to see a person on the other side of the planet, wouldn’t you also be looking up at them? (What song is playing?) So then if this is actually the case
To Choose and to be a FriendThe wisdom of Sirach states, “For he who fears God behaves accordingly,” (Sir 6:17) which is to say that someone who fears the Lord will seek to live his life according to right conduct. The Pharisees, the ones who sought to trick Jesus, were not acting in a manner respectful to the Law, but rather acting according to pride. These are the sort of people we should seek to correct, for any of us who engage in gossip or deceit in order to discredit our foes become a foe to right conduct. If they cannot or will not be corrected we should not share in their friendship, for a friend who speaks ill of others in a mean and spiteful way m

Christianity: Outside Looking In In the Western part of the world, Christianity is familiar with almost everyone. Many people, at the very least, claim to believe in God in the Western world. But what exactly is Christianity? The obvious answer is, of course, that Christianity is the religion that believes in God and Jesus Christ's sacrifice to save humanity from their sins. There's more to Christianity than this, and shall be discussed in more detail. Specifically, the origins of Christianity and how it became a world religion, what makes Christianity unique, and the differences in the denominations of Christianity shall be discussed. Let's start with Christ
The Light of WisdomConfucius once said there were three ways one could gain wisdom: through reflection, which is the noblest, by imitation, which is the easiest, and through experience, which is the bitterest. When you reach a certain age you start to value those countless hours you stood reading all those books to get a fucking A. Books are a invaluable treasure the scholars left us.Knowledge is the greatest power we have these days, and whoever says otherwise is as ignorant as badger. The thing is, knowledge must come naturally, not forced. If you force someone to study something they don't like, like when I spent seventeen years, precious seventeen years o
The WriterWords are my tools.I may not be a wizard with the brush, but I know how to create an image. Though my imagination may not paint a clear vision - it is up to you to decide. What do you see?Does it make you smile? Make you happy, sad, joyous, upset? What do my words mean to you?Is every image the same? What do you see?Words are my tools.I am the writer.
What is grace? What is grace?Too many of us think that God's grace is a shield that indemnifies us against the consequences of our sins.God's ability to forgive is infinite, however grace is not a shield.Grace is a bone saw."If your eye causes you to sin it is better to pluck it out than to continue sinning."Grace is a spiritual amputation of a piece of your soul infected by the gangrene of iniquity.God's ability to forgive is infinite, however is the individual's ability to receive grace likewise infinite? How many graces can a person receive before the soul-body ceases to function?I will show how this is the truth in Chapter 5B of "Worth 1000 Word
Defending the Church: Part IIIIn Part III, I will go over the Catholic belief of the intercession of the saints and of Mary. I will also cover the Catholic view on prayer, and the different types of prayer involved. Please note that I am only going to go over it in brief in comparison to the large amount of resources out there that both support and condemn this practice. Mary herself is a whole subject on her own, and there are so many legends and stories that are connected to the many saints. There are even whole books that solely discuss the subject of prayers. Because of this, I will only cover the biblical and logical reasoning behind the practice of intercessions and other prayers, and explain why these are practices of the Catholic Church. This also ties in rather well with another, independent piece of mine, called The Rosary: Not a Vain Repetition (which you can read here: http://piewriter.deviantart.com/art/The-Rosary-Not-a-Vain-Repetition-338676518).
What time is it?"Hey there Applejack.""Howdy Twi.""Do you know what time it is?""Nope.""Darn. Alright, see you later.""See ya."
Schism of the HerdA place of safety.Separated from the herd. The horses in the stable eye outsiders warily."Come out and join us!", the larger crowd of horses outside calls. "There are no separations, no rules, there is complete and utter freedom here! Your restrictions are draconian, against what our species desires, in fact!""Neigh!", comes the response, "we are proud horses, our rules make us horse. We will not descend to your level of decadence."Slowly, slowly, horses outside the stable see the wisdom of of the ones inside. The stable grows.
